250 Volunteers Join Forces for Beach Cleanup in Baccuit Sur, La Union to Protect Marine Ecosystems

On Call to Earth Day, 250 volunteers gathered at the coastlines of Baccuit Sur, La Union, a key nesting site for sea turtles, to participate in a beach cleanup. Together, they successfully removed 3,000 pounds of trash, contributing significantly to the protection of marine ecosystems. This effort was a collaboration between the Municipality of Bauang, La Union, the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines, and Security Bank, with support from the Barangay officials of Baccuit Sur, Jessica Resort, and Raff Justine. The collective action exemplified a commitment to safeguarding the environment and marine life for future generations.
