On November 28, a Sea Turtle Patroller Training Workshop was held in Barangay Pudoc, Bauang, aimed at equipping 43 fisherfolk from various barangays with the necessary skills to handle sea turtle incidents, particularly nesting events. This initiative also focuses on combating poaching by educating the community about the ecological importance of sea turtles and their impact on local livelihoods. The workshop strengthens collaboration between local communities and conservation efforts, promoting collective responsibility for ocean and wildlife protection. The event was made possible through the support of the Municipality of Bauang, MENRO Bauang, and the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines.
