CURMA and Security Bank Lead Coastal Cleanup at San Juan’s Sea Turtle Nesting Site

On November 23, 2024, CURMA (Coastal Underwater Resource Management Actions) and Security Bank spearheaded a large-scale beach cleanup at San Juan, a crucial sea turtle nesting site. As part of the North Luzon Travel Expo 2024 (NLTEx), organized by the Department of Tourism – Philippines, the event mobilized 300 volunteers who collectively removed 750 pounds of waste from the shoreline. This initiative aimed to protect marine ecosystems and enhance the nesting habitat for sea turtles. CURMA and its partners extend their gratitude to all participants for their dedication to environmental conservation and their role in fostering a cleaner, safer coastline.
