On Christmas morning, Robert Gamboa discovered sea turtle tracks in Baroro, Bacnotan, and immediately alerted Pawikan Patroller Marte Magat. Their prompt response led to the identification of the 66th nest of the season, containing 34 eggs. This smaller-than-average clutch highlights both the vulnerability and resilience of sea turtles.
The eggs have been safely relocated to the hatchery, where they will be monitored until hatching. This Christmas nest serves as a powerful symbol of renewal and conservation. Through the Adopt-a-Nest Program, individuals can contribute to the survival of these hatchlings and support ongoing sea turtle conservation efforts.
