CURMA Celebrates Completion of Inaugural Sea Turtle Ambassador Program

CURMA proudly celebrates the successful completion of its inaugural Sea Turtle Ambassador Program, held from January 11 to 12. This 40-hour course empowered 30 veterinary students from across Luzon and Mindanao, equipping them to lead environmental initiatives with a focus on sea turtle and ecosystem conservation.

The program, supported by the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines, International Veterinary Students’ Association, Peace Corps, Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency, Inwater Research Group Bacnotan, La Union, the Municipality of San Juan, La Union, and the Provincial Government of La Union, aims to inspire action and create a ripple effect of environmental leadership. CURMA thanks all facilitators and volunteers for their dedication and looks forward to seeing the ambassadors lead the charge in preserving our planet’s biodiversity.
